Art in the Sand is dedicated to the artistic presentation of sea glass and other often overlooked treasures deposited on the shoreline by the tides.

Sea glass or beach glass, also known as “mermaid’s tears,” is the unique result of the marriage of man’s propensity to litter our beaches and oceans and the wisdom of Mother Nature. Broken shards of glass are frosted and smoothed by time, seawater, waves, and sand. Each piece has its own story, left to the imagination of one lucky enough to come upon the prize.

I have a passion for the hunt of beach-washed masterpieces and love the creative challenge in transforming them into art from a different perspective, through the camera lens.

My vision is to create a collective appreciation for authentic sea glass, a truly vanishing gem.
